Cooperation 

UNPAI cooperation mainly is with Association of Former International Civil Servants (AFICS) which was founded in 1970 with strong support by the then UN Secretary General U Thant and subsequent Secretary Generals. It started with a handful of members which has now grown to over 3,000 worldwide in over 63 countries.

AFICS is governed by a Governing Board which controls all its activities related to pensions. The standing committee of AIFCS with Co-chairs and membership drawn from the Governing Board and membership at large.

1. Member of UN health and life insurance committee
2. Follows the ACABQ and Fifth Committee on matters on interest
3. An NGO recognised by UN/DPI
4. Founding member of FAFICS
5. Represents FAFICS at related UN meetings in New York and Geneva.
6. Attend or participate in other inter governmental and NGO meetings.

At India level through UNPAI, Executive Committee coordinates as required with all United Nations Federation of Staff Associations in India (UNFCA), All UN Agencies Staff Associations particularly Association of Former WHO Staff (AFSM), UNDP staff Association (UNSAI), UNICEF Pensioner Group in India (UPGI), Association of Former United Nations Personnel In India (AFUNPI) Bengaluru and UN Women Association (UNWA).
  
In addition UNPAI is inconstant touch with other specialized agencies for any advice of sharing information.
